Soccer Fun!

We had so much fun at the soccer fields this year with 5 kids in soccer. Chaotic, yes! But oh, so much fun.

Sammy's 2nd Halloween...alone again!

Sammy had a good time dressing up as a lion and saying, "trick-or-treat!" Even though Sammy got to visit a few neighbors she was a bit lonely again this year without any of her brothers or sisters around to share in her excitement! Maybe one of these years she will get to go tricl-or-treating with her brothers and sisters.

Sam's 2nd Trip to the Doctor!

Ok, so it didn't take long for Sammy to make her next trip to the doctor for another knock on the noggin'. This time she was at Grandma's house and took a tumble off the bar stool and decided to put her bottom teeth through her bottom lip! Sounds fun, huh? My poor girl is going to be the queen of scars! She is so rough and tumble!

My First Boo-Boo...That Required a Trip to InstaCare!

So we had a great start to our Labor Day Weekend...as you can see from Sammy's face. We went outside to plant some flowers in the garden and within minutes Sammy is climbing the steps to get to her favorite cat, Nomar! Now this isn't anything out of the ordinary, Sammy has mastered the stairs; however today she was too close to the edge and must have missed her step and tumbled head over heals down the three front cement steps. I caught this acrobatic act out of the corner of my eye! When I picked her up and say her eye I knew that we were headed for a doctors visit. We are hoping that this lovely eye won't leave much of a scar. Instead of stitches, they were able to glue it shut (Dermabond) and hopefully not leave the railroad marks of stitches! So Sorry Sammy!!!

Helper!

What a BIG helper! Sammy can't sit back and watch all of the other kids do their chores without want to pitch in and share in the fun (just ask the other kids if chores are fun!) She loves to help unload the dishwasher...or be a part of the action going on!

Camping

One of our family's favorite things to do is to camp! We took Cousin Jared camping with us this summer and he had a blast! Korey's family came up and joined us for tinfoil dinners. Jared thought the tinfoil dinners were the best thing he had ever had. That was until he had the dutch oven peach cobbler. Then until he had omlets in a bag for breakfast! I think he loved it all.

We have had a great summer this year!

Diamond Creek 2009

Diamond Creek was a little rainy and muddy this year. We all had a great time considering the weather. We have a family tradition to hike up to a big pine tree at the top of the mountain and we bury a little time capsule at the base of it. Each year we take something up and replace what we put in the year before that represents us. The kids look forward to this every year!

-Sammy couldn't get enough of being outside no matter what the weather was.
-Cam couldn't ride the motorcycle enough.

-Alex and Ryan visited their hut and played Killer Bunnies every chance they got

-Tanner was playing whatever game was being played on the field (ultimate frisbee, football, or hook-on)

-Ashton tried to get into everu mud puddle he could without being caught
-Mom and Dad, well, we are just looking forward to next Diamond Creek! It is the highlight of our year.
